   SAFERSYS.ORG

The SaferSys.org web site is an excellent starting point for verifying the validity of a transport company. Although you may not find out everything you need to know about a company at SaferSys, one thing is certain... if you cannot find the company in question, you better do some very serious investigating before hiring them.

Whenever you are considering an auto shipping company, you should always ask for their authority and insurance. Authority comes in the form of either an ICCMC# (Interstate Commerce Commission Motor Carrier Number) or US DOT (US Department of Transportation). As long as you have one of these numbers, you can research both the company and their insurance. However, the Safer System is not always accurate on insurance, and the only way to know what a carrier has for sure is to either get a copy of the insurance information from the company, or find out the name of the insurance company and call them directly to verify.

What do the tires mean?
The tires are our interpretation of quality, like stars on other sites. The more tires that are full color, the better the rating a company has. Almost no company will have 5 stars after the first few reviews because of the law of averages.
